A day out at the zoo

One day Roy and Miriam Goodridge took us to a zoo-park called Temaiken near their house.  It’s a zoo but more like an educational park, owned by one of the wealthiest families in Argentina.  Here we are with Roy, Miriam and their two boys Willem and Dan.

A capybara (the largest of the rodent family), and a small crocodile called yacaré

The capybara.  When hunted it produces a beautiful suede-like leather with distincitve spot markings.  It’s the most expensive leather that there is.

That evening we went and had pizza with the Skvor family (daughter and son-in-law of the people that own the school where we have convention).  These photos are in their lounge.
